Refunds Policy
Subscriptions
Consumers have the right to cancel a subscription at any stage within a Trial Period, or otherwise within the stated Terms and Conditions for their particular subscription.
Cancellation within this period will entitle you to a complete refund. To apply for a refund please write to or email us to let us know the product purchased, the amount paid and the best contact details for yourself. You may also be asked to provide proof of purchase.
Course Refunds and Cancellations Policy
This policy applies to courses, workshops and training events promoted, sold or administered by The Academy of Physical Medicine, including courses run directly by APM and courses arranged or marketed by APM on behalf of external tutors, instructors or training providers.
If you cancel your place
If you need to cancel your course booking, please let us know in writing as soon as possible.
Bookings cancelled more than two months before the course start date will normally be refunded in full.
Where less than two months' notice is given, we will do our best to re-sell your place. If we are able to fill your place, we will refund your course fee. If we are unable to fill your place, we reserve the right to retain some or all of the course fee to cover the costs and commitments already incurred.
Some courses may have their own specific cancellation terms, especially where they are run by, or on behalf of, an external instructor or provider. Where this applies, the relevant terms will be made clear on the course page or at the time of booking.
If APM, an instructor or a course provider cancels or postpones a course
Very occasionally, a course may need to be cancelled or postponed. This may happen, for example, because of low booking numbers, tutor illness, venue issues, circumstances outside our reasonable control, or other practical reasons that make the course unviable or unsuitable to run as planned.
If a course is cancelled or postponed by APM, the instructor or the course provider, you will be offered either:
- a full refund of the course fee paid; or
- the option to carry your booking forward to the rearranged course date or an alternative suitable course, where available.
If a rearranged date is offered but you are unable to attend, you may request a full refund instead.
Refund method
Refunds will normally be made back to the original payment method. We may ask for proof of purchase or booking details before processing a refund.
Travel and accommodation
Unless we have specifically agreed otherwise in writing, APM is not responsible for any travel, accommodation, loss of earnings or other personal costs incurred in connection with attending a course. We recommend that attendees avoid making non-refundable travel or accommodation arrangements where possible, particularly until the course has been confirmed as going ahead.
