How to Watch...
All of our live broadcasts are streamed through our website and count towards your ‘Learning with Others’ CPD total.
Previous broadcasts can be found in the Library in the CPD Area, and all count towards your ‘Learning by Oneself’.
All live broadcasts can be accessed through your Profile Page.
Ensure you're logged in.
On your Profile Page, accessible from the menu bar above, you'll see a banner that shows details of the next live broadcast. When the timer on the banner reaches zero, a 'Watch Here' button will appear after a few seconds.
If for some reason it doesn't, hit refresh in your browser.
Clicking the Watch Here button will take you to the broadcast page and automatically register your attendance. You'll receive an email confirming this.
If you're connecting via the 'Watch on the Website' button in the pre-show email, you'll go straight to the broadcast page, skipping this step.
On the Broadcast Page you'll see the main player and a chat box.
• Click on the player to join, pour the wine, put your feet up and enjoy the show.
• In the chat window, enter your name, or a nickname, click Save and say Hi!
You can use the chat window to interact with other members and to comment or ask questions. The APM team are monitoring the chat and can forward these directly to the host in real-time.
The shows are also streamed live to Facebook as a backup option. If for some reason you would rather watch there, then clicking the 'Watch on Facebook' button will take you to the relevant APM Facebook group, either the private Members Group or the Open Forum.
The Facebook comment stream is also monitored by the APM team, but some APM CPD features, such as the ability to make and store notes, and to enter relevant reflections or statements, will not be available.
Below the player, you'll see various sections, depending on your profession..
Private Notes
On the left, you'll see a Private Notes box where you can enter any notes you'd like to make during the show. Click Save regularly! These notes will be saved along with your certificate for later review if required.

If you enter your statements during the show... When we have produced a certificate for the broadcast, yours will already show your Reflection, and be marked complete. Your hours will already be counted and reported accurately in your CPD Summary, and a record of this activity will automatically be added to your CPD Diary.
If you wait to enter your statements, you'll have the benefit of draft reflections produced by APM within a day or two, which you can edit and enter. Until your statements have been entered, this CPD activity will be 'incomplete', it's hours will not be included in your totals and it won't appear in your CPD Diary.
For best results, keep your completions up to date. Don't let them build up.
Case-Based and Clinical Support Discussions
Case-Based, and Clinical Support Discussions are similar to regular broadcasts but are not streamed to Facebook. You can still watch on the website as before, or alternatively choose to join us on MS Teams, by clicking the button below the chat window. No installing programs, you can simply join straight from your browser.
These discussions count as Objective Activities and are not typically uploaded to the Library. This is to preserve patient confidentiality and to encourage participants to speak openly. Joining in via the Teams meeting gives a more free-flowing conversation, allowing you to ask questions or offer you experience.
