We’re on the borders of Bedfordshire/Cambridgeshire/Northamptonshire (about 20 minutes North of Bedford) and we’re looking for someone with a bit of an interest in fascia/cranial work.  If you’re enthusiastic, looking for a busy working day and enjoy sharing information, this position will suit you.  Though to be honest I can’t imagine someone who isn’t enthusiastic and looking for a busy working day!
 
We’ve got lots of CPD opportunities (obviously!) and a structured mentoring scheme, plus a lot of general sharing of knowledge in the clinic.
 

Our attitude to the clinic is very similar to how we run APM - we want everyone to enjoy what we do, so the atmosphere is quite bouncy and warm.  There also seems to be quite a lot of cake.

 
If you have other interests/specialities in addition to cranial work, that’s great too.  We’ve got a strong structural team and a lot of rehab knowledge in the building, but the two osteopaths who use more fascial and cranial techniques are fully booked so we definitely need someone who is keen to use a mix of techniques.

Our long-established clinic has a wonderful reputation within the
community, bringing us a steady flow of new osteopathy and podiatry clients through word of mouth alone. A recent rebrand and marketing drive has brought a further increase in patient numbers and we are recruiting an associate osteopath to share the workload.

Attitude is more important to us than experience, however please bear in mind that this is a small clinic and you would be the only
osteopath on site during your shifts, so we need a motivated candidate who is happy to work autonomously. You also need to be comfortable working as part of a close-knit team, frequently collaborating with our podiatrists to achieve the best outcomes for our clients. An interest in biomechanics and good knowledge of lower limb anatomy would therefore be useful, however we have clients of all ages and backgrounds so the ideal candidate will have a broad range of clinical skills.

The position will be available from 4th March, initially for one day
per week on a Tuesday or Wednesday and increasing to two days as your list grows. We can be flexible with your hours whilst you are building your client list.
