This course is all about understanding what we mean by dizziness and vertigo, and how we balance. It will set dizziness within its bio-psycho-social context.
You’ll be able to incorporate a basic vestibular examination into your usual neuro-musculoskeletal assessment. This means you’ll be much better equipped to recognise the common peripheral vestibular disorders and differentiate these from central nervous system pathology.
You’ll be able to diagnose and treat common variant positional vertigo (BPPV), as well as plan appropriate rehab programmes based on individual assessment and clinical reasoning, using the most appropriate outcome measures
Who’s Eligible?
The training is suitable for all MSK practitioners (osteopaths, chiropractors, physiotherapists). There is no requirement for previous expertise in vestibular disorders.
