How APM Works

All our live broadcasts towards your “Learning With Others” CPD Total

Step 1. On the broadcast night, a banner (similar to the picture below) will appear on the top of the “Home” and “Profile” pages from 7 pm which will take you to the event. If you are not logged in, then you will be prompted to do so at this point.

Step 2. Open the wine, put your feet up and enjoy the show. If you want to ask a question just use the chatbox in the bottom right corner. If for any reason you wish to watch on Facebook, then just click the button in the bottom left corner.

Step 3. At the end of the broadcast, you can leave by clicking the bottom right button “Leave the Broadcast. This will take you to a page which registers the time you left the broadcast to help with if you are ever audited.

Once the certificate is ready (normally a couple of days), you’ll receive an email letting you know.  In addition, if you go to the Certificates page in your Profile, you’ll see a list of any unclaimed certificates.  There you can click a link which will add them to your portfolio.

That might all sound a bit complex, but it’s actually pretty easy.  And it means we can cover your back if the General Council ever does an in-depth audit of your CPD.

This counts towards your

Our case-based discussions all count towards your “Learning With Others” CPD total. For osteopaths, they also count as an “Objective Activity”, one of which is compulsory in the 3-year CPD cycle

Step 1. We use Microsoft Teams for our case-based discussions. There’s no need for you to download any software, you simply follow the link which we send out half an hour before the broadcast starts.

Step 2. Provided you join the discussion through the link provided, we will have a record of your attendance. We’ll therefore generate your certificate automatically – you just have to confirm your attendance at your own convenience when you next visit your Profile page.

Note: We do not post a recording or transcript of the case-based discussions. This is to encourage participants to speak openly and to preserve patient confidentiality.

All our recordings count towards your “Learning By Oneself” CPD (as long as you didn’t also claim for the live broadcast!)

Step 1. Under “All Things CPD” in the menu bar, click on “Recordings”.

Step 2. Click on whichever recording interests you. If you aren’t already logged in, you’ll be prompted at this stage.

Step 3.Once you’ve watched the show, you’ll need to take a short quiz to show that you paid attention (!). There are only 4 or 5 questions, but you need to get 75% to pass. At that point your “Learning By Oneself” CPD certificate will be generated. You can either download the certificate, or simply leave it on your profile page ready for when you submit your CPD record to the General Council.
