SUMMARY:Headaches & Dizziness: the Sensorimotor Approach
DESCRIPTION:Sensorimotor Rehabilitation\n\n\n\n\nTrauma (not just head trauma) can have a serious effect on sensorimotor structures.  Similarly\, neck problems affect balance\, eyesight\, and more.  Sensorimotor rehab provides a simple\, measurable means of addressing those issues. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis one-day course provides a practical\, evidence-informed approach to assessing and treating the neck from a sensorimotor perspective. It combines clear\, accessible theory with hands-on clinical skills to help you understand how cervical proprioception\, joint position sense\, eye–head coordination\, and postural control influence symptoms such as dizziness\, headache\, and reduced stability. \nThroughout the day\, you will learn how to assess key sensorimotor impairments and apply targeted rehabilitation strategies\, including proprioceptive retraining\, gaze stability work\, and progressive neck control exercises. The focus is on translating neuroscience into simple\, effective techniques you can use immediately in clinical practice.

SUMMARY:Cardiovascular Disease: What Has Gone Wrong With Nutritional Information - Dr Malcolm Kendrick
DESCRIPTION:Dr Malcolm Kendrick has been researching cardiovascular disease (CVD) for decades. He has long been critical of the cholesterol hypothesis\, and wrote two books\, The Great Cholesterol Con and A Statin Nation to outline why cholesterol does not cause CVD\, and statins are not the answer to reducing risk. But he did not really know what did cause it. A chance discussion with the sadly departed Professor Paul Rosch triggered a completely new approach.  ‘Don’t look for causes\, look at the process.’ This freed up Dr Kendrick’s thinking and set him on a journey in place and time. Starting in 1852\, with Karl von Rokitansky in Vienna. And moving through those unsung heroes who have been this way before\, tracking the Ghost in the Machine. In the end\, the answer was surprisingly simple. CVD is a process\, and once you understand that\, you understand everything. This led to Dr Kendrick’s latest book. The Clot Thickens where he explains what the process is\, what factors help to drive it\, or slow it down and what you can do to reduce your risk.

SUMMARY:HODA-A™ - Dr Jo Abbott
DESCRIPTION:Dr Jo Abbott is a global researcher\, educator and integrative clinician with a background in clinical anatomy\, functional medicine\, biomechanics and pain science. Her work is shaped by decades of clinical practice\, academic study\, athletic experience and real-world problem solving. \nHer original background in electro-mechanical engineering gave her a systems-based way of thinking: how forces transfer\, how structures fail\, how signals degrade\, and how complex systems can be redesigned. That lens now informs the way she assesses movement\, pain\, recovery\, clinical reasoning and human performance.

SUMMARY:Protect Your Brain Health: A Cognitive Longevity Masterclass with Elizabeth Curphey
DESCRIPTION:Your brain is central to the care you provide every day. This masterclass helps you understand\, protect and strengthen your cognitive health for the years ahead. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAs a healthcare practitioner\, you spend your days looking after other people's physical and mental health. But when did you last take an honest look at your own brain health\, the organ on which your entire practice depends? \nThe stress that never quite switches off\, the fatigue that sleep does not fix\, the brain fog that has become your new normal\, most practitioners put these down to a busy life and a demanding career\, but what if they are early signs of something your brain is trying to tell you? \nBy the end of the day\, you will understand your own brain health risk\, know exactly what drives it\, and leave with a personal evidence-based plan to protect your cognitive future.

SUMMARY:Functional Active Release for Thoracic Outlet Syndrome with Robin Lansman
DESCRIPTION:TOS can significantly affect nerve and vascular function\, leading to pain\, weakness\, and restricted movement. This course equips you with practical FAR techniques to reduce soft-tissue tension and improve mobility through the thoracic outlet. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFAR is a specialised approach to manual therapy designed by expert osteopath and lecturer Robin Lansman\, encompassing a system of assessment\, treatment\, hands-on therapy and self-care. \nWhereas in traditional manual therapies the patient lies still whilst the therapist treats them\, in Functional Active Release treatment is given whilst carrying out functional movements of the part of the body being treated. This helps you to recover faster\, more completely\, and to stay healthier for longer. \nThe process of clear and open feedback between patient and professional also helps guide expectations along with building cognitive Body Awareness that ensures best results for the individual.
