TREATING THE COCCYX

A rare (and valuable) skill

Coccygeal Pain

Coccygeal pain is common - you'll have seen it many times in your own clinic.  Differential diagnosis and treatment, however, can be tricky.

Practitioners who are able treat effectively are in short supply and high demand.

What's more, patients, many of whom will have suffered for years, will be extremely grateful

ABOUT THE COURSE

This course will enable practitioners of all disciplines to treat coccygeal pain effectively, using a variety of modalities in their practices.

You will be shown how to take a comprehensive, relevant case history and how to examine the coccyx and related structures.  From this, you will learn how formulate your differential diagnoses and treatment plan.

This will include specific testing, developed by Dr Sandler, for use in his private practice.  Treatment will be demonstrated and practised using a per rectal approach as well as other techniques.

You will also receive the results from an as-yet unpublished audit,  showing the results and effectiveness of the procedures in a population of more than 400 patients.

IMPORTANT

This course includes per-rectal techniques.  As a student you will be expected to perform the technique and to act as a patient for another student.

A very high standard of patient management is essential and appropriate procedures will be taught and put into practice.  You should therefore feel reassured that discretion and modesty will be maintained throughout. Filming will not be permitted at any stage.

By registering for this course, you are giving your consent to participate as described. However, if at any point you feel uncomfortable with the process, whether as a patient or practitioner, you may withdraw your consent at any time, even after signing the consent form.
